Ron McCabe, Chairman & CEO
During his 21-year tenure in the technology sector, Ron has been known for his introduction of innovative technologies in hardware, software, and chip design that have disrupted the market while generating strong sales and profits. As founder, president, and CEO of MiraLink Corporation, Ron McCabe has more than 10 years of experience in the rapidly emerging data storage and recovery industries. He is world-renowned for developing technologies that control the speed and use of memory bandwidth. At MiraLink, Ron has been instrumental in leading the development of cost-effective business continuity and data recovery storage appliances.
Prior to founding MiraLink, Ron was the Director of Graphics and Multimedia at Everex, where he pioneered local bus technology and grew the graphics and multimedia division to $30 million in annual sales, a five-fold increase in just two and a half years. He is past chairman of the VL Bus Committee, where he was responsible for the development and ultimate industry standardization of the VESA Local Bus Systems. By bringing this pioneering, proprietary technology into the mainstream through standardization, Ron established the technology that the current PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) bus is based upon today.
John Haden, Director of Sales
John brings over ten years of sales experience in the IT Channel, including networking infrastructure, disaster recovery, storage and security. In this role, John is responsible for the company&s sales and channel operations. He has a proven legacy in building solid channel sales organizations to drive revenue within key verticals such as healthcare, financial, government and education.
Prior to joining MiraLink, John was a national account manager at SonicWALL, a leading manufacturer of firewalls and VPN devices. There he was responsible for the integration of CDP (Continuous Data Protection) products into SonicWall&s distribution, DMR and VAR channels both domestically and internationally. Before joining SonicWALL, John was the Western Regional Sales Manager at Asante Technologies and played an integral part in the execution of Asante&s revamped channel partner program. John began his career at Ingram Micro where he was the product manager for Apple and third party mac vendors. John received his Bachelor&s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Western State College of Colorado.
Allen Engstrom, Director, Finance & Accounting
Allen Engstrom is the Managing Partner of Corporate Financial Outsourcing Network, LLC a provider of outsourced accounting and financial services to MiraLink. Prior to joining CFO Network in 2004 Allen was a Strategic Planning Manager for Intel’s Storage Components Division. In this capacity, Allen was Program Manager for the Virtual Storage Team, a multi-divisional, cross-functional team charged with developing Intel&s future in the $60 billion networked storage market.
Prior to that, Allen was a manager of mergers and acquisitions with Intel Capital as well as interim finance director for DevelopOnline, a start-up spin-off from Intel; and a senior financial analyst for the I/O Products Division of Intel.
Allen earned an MBA with an emphasis on Finance and Information Technology from The University of Texas at Austin. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Allen has maintained an active involvement in the high tech investment community, mentoring startups and serving on the Planning Committee for the Arizona Venture Capital Conference, the Arkansas Venture Forum as well as a role with Arizona State University’s Technology Transfer Program.

Greg Duplessie - Chairman of Advisory Board, Executive Consultant
Greg Duplessie is a seasoned executive who brings broad experience in storage sales, marketing, and business development along with entrepreneurial success to his clients. Responsible for developing and driving strategic partner and business development initiatives, Greg will draw on his over 16 years experience working in the technology and storage sector. Presently, Greg is providing executive-level business consulting to companies such as Yosemite Technologies, Data Storage Group, Seven Ten Storage and MiraLink. Previously, Greg provided consulting to Solix Technologies, Compellent and InMage Systems. Greg joins MiraLink after leaving Solix as acting VP of Business Development. Before Solix, Greg was the VP of Business Development for Neartek, Inc. Neartek was sold to EMC in the summer of 2006. Before that, Greg was at Permabit, where he ran business development and was the catalyst for the company&s relationships with StorageTek and Hitachi Data Systems. Prior to Permabit, Greg was a key member in several high technology consultancies, including Ridge Partners I, New England West, Enterprise Strategy Group, and Invincible Technologies, where he provided advisory services for emerging companies, resulting in new business ventures and increased revenues. Previously, Greg&s channel sales experience delivered sales growth of 300% in one year at Quantum, among other sales goals. Greg started his career at Parametric Technology Corporation after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Andrew Williamson - Director at Alexander Dunham
Mr. Williamson is a Director of Alexander Dunham Capital and Alexander Dunham Securities, Inc. He has more than 8 years experience in investment banking and venture capital. He was previously a founding Member of GKM Ventures and an Associate in the Corporate Finance Technology Group with Gerard Klauer Mattison (now BMO Capital Markets). Prior to that, he was an Associate in the Corporate Finance Technology Group with Chanin Capital Partners. Previously, Mr. Williamson was a Senior Manager at Oracle Corporation after being actively involved in the development of an enterprise software company that was acquired by Oracle Corporation in 1997. Prior to that, he spent four years at Price Waterhouse. Mr. Williamson received his MBA from the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Business at UCLA where he was selected as a Venture Fellow. Mr. Williamson received his Bachelors of Commerce degree at the University of Western Australia and is also a Chartered Accountant. He is a currently a member and former Co-Chairman of the UCLA Venture Capital and Private Equity Alumni.
Andy Watson - CEO/Founder of Asyncast
As a seasoned veteran in the networked storage industry, Andy is perhaps best known for the twelve years he spent with NetApp. The most outbound of NetApp&s several CTOs, Andy built multiple teams, led numerous projects, and helped drive the company&s consistently successful customer-oriented product strategy, supporting revenue growth from $14M in 1995 to over $3B in 2007. Prior to NetApp, Andy spent a decade with other computer systems vendors (Auspex, Prime, Data General, RDS AutoMate). Before that, his breadth of experience includes having been "the customer" during the pre-Lockheed years he spent with Martin Marietta Aerospace (Space Launch Systems), and the Systems Manager for the New York City Transit Authority&s TCS (Transportation Control System). Andy also serves as a member of the advisory board at several start-ups, including Gear6, Index Engines, Intransa, Mobopia, Monosphere, Orchesys, Overtone Software, PowerFile and Scalent.
Jot Gill
Jot Gill has 10 years of IT experience in the technology industry specifically around data management; storage, virtualization, backup and DR architectures; and application and database integration and consolidation. Most recently, he was responsible for building a world-class senior Strategic Consulting organization with visibility and responsibility directly to the Executive and Senior Leadership at NetApp.
Prior to this, Jot had built a very successful technical and strategy-consulting team involved specifically in large-scale enterprise class deployments, working in conjunction with IBM, EMC and HP. He has also written, contributed and presented various management (cost, risk and operations) and technical level reports based on system topologies and implementations and effectively communicated these at all levels within an organization. His work has been published in IBM Redbooks, NetApp TechOntap, as well as SearchStorage and Storage magazine.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Toronto in Industrial and Systems Engineering and holds various management and technical certifications. He has also been a contributor to various forums within SNIA.
Mike Miracle - Executive Consultant
As a technology operating executive, advisor and investor, Mike has a strong track record working with high-tech company management teams and boards in forming and executing on operational goals and strategic initiatives that directly lead to M&A exits. Mike has deep domain experience in storage and IT infrastructure, and his work includes assessment of strategy, markets, competitors, and partners; followed by hands on execution help in the formation or refinement of corporate and product strategies, business development and strategic alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Mike’s consulting and advisory work includes multiple years with BladeLogic (IPO BLOG, acquired by BMC), Double Take (IPO DBTK), FilesX (sold to IBM), InterSAN (sold to Finisar), OuterBay (sold to HP), Portable Internet (sold to Vericom), and Princeton Softech (sold to IBM). In addition, his board of directors work includes three years on the board of Connected Corporation (sold to Iron Mountain); two years on the boards of Precise Software (sold to VERITAS Software), Evident Software (recapitalized) and Neartek (sold to EMC); and five years on the boards of Mediconnect.net (sold to private equity) and NuView (sold to Brocade).
Mike is currently working as an executive consultant for a number of companies, including Atempo, Inc. on unstructured data and fixed content archiving and data protection, and Applimation on structured data archiving and e-discovery. He is active on the boards of Blackball (object-based storage with index and search), and the advisory boards of Data Storage Group (data duplication), Miralink (remote data mirroring), ProofSpace (information assurance) and Millenniata (very long term archiving media), and the screening committee for the AngelVine network in New Jersey.
Mike&s previous full time positions include EVP of Business Development, Product Management and Marketing for Evident Software (2004-2006), and the VP of Corporate Development for VERITAS Software (1998-2001) during its high growth years where he built and led the organization responsible for mergers & acquisitions, strategic venture investing, technology licensing, and divestitures. Acquisitions at VERITAS included Seagate Software, TeleBackup, Frontier Software India, and NuView; investments included VMware (IPO), Storage Networks (IPO), Pirus Networks (sold to Sun), and 3PAR (IPO). Prior to VERITAS, Mike held a variety of senior management and technical positions at Hewlett Packard, Novell, and Unix Systems Labs where he focused on operating systems development, product management and OEM partnerships. Mike started his career developing telecommunications software with AT&T Bell Labs. Mike holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and a Master&s degree from Stanford University.
Steve Norall - President of TechValidate
Steve brings a wealth of expertise in guiding enterprise technology companies from concept to market acceptance. Currently, Steve is the President and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of TechValidate – an Enterprise 2.0 software as a service company. Prior to co-founding TechValidate, Steve was the Vice President of Product Marketing at PolyServe, a leading clustered server and storage company (acquired by HP, $205M). As an early member of the team, he launched the company, managed both product line P&Ls, and served as a key member of the senior executive team leading up to the acquisition. Steve has also held senior management positions in both software engineering and product marketing at Oracle Corporation, CGI-AMS, and Microsoft Corporation. In addition to his operating experience, Steve was a highly regarded technology analyst at Taneja Group, where he focused on shaping marketing strategy for emerging enterprise technology vendors, and worked as an investment professional at Greylock Partners, an early stage venture capital firm. He holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Steve Shah - CTO/Founder of Asyncast
Steve Shah is the CTO and Co-Founder of Asyncast, a new media company focused on mobile applications. Prior to Asyncast, Steve leveraged his experience of being the customer, engineer, and marketeer and founded RisingEdge Consulting, which brought his strategic marketing insight to Silicon Valley companies such as Citrix Systems, Coyote Point Systems, Coradiant, Silver Peak and Amadeus Capital. Steve also played a prominent role in the L4-7 application delivery market as the director of product management/marketing at Citrix/NetScaler and Array Networks, where his responsibilities encompassed AFE/ADC, SSL-VPN, and application firewalls. His contributions at Citrix/NetScaler helped grow the company from $10M to $100M in three years, leading to NetScaler&s $320M acquisition by Citrix Systems. In addition to his hands-on experience as a kernel/network engineer, Steve is the author of several books on Unix and networking, including Linux Administration: A Beginners Guide. Steve currently serves on the advisory board of StrangeLoop Networks.
